MATTHEW + MARYKAY

Last weekend was Matthew and Marykay's wedding! I have to say, and Andrew is in total agreement, that you two are the most sincere, gentle, grateful and humble people that we have ever met. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your wedding day. Both of you have amazing families and friends.
I was at the reception, and the coordinator came up to me and said " Isn't this couple the nicest bride and groom you have ever met? They are so calm and collected. "

Matthew and Marykay... you have an amazing support system in place within your family. And, I know that you already know that, but because of these people, your marriage will be stronger than most. I have no doubts that you both have found your soul mate. And everyone benefits from know you. Y'all are truly an amazing team and I wish you all the best!

Labor Day

To start off this Labor Day weekend, Andrew and I got to photograph a wedding! This was such a fun wedding! Everyone was really great to work with.
It was a gorgeous day! Sunny, 80 degrees and a little breeze to keep us cool.

Storm Stories

I got a call Friday evening just after I had arrived up north. It was a client of ours that called to tell me that my neighborhood had been hit by a tornado! So she offered to drive by my house to see if there was any damage. Luckily, my house was fine...not a lost branch. 4 houses down though and all thru the neighborhood, there were trees down everywhere. Cars smashed, garages flattened and trees uprooted. It looked like a war zone. I took Jake for a walk to look at all the mess, and it looked like everyone had a VERY long weekend with clean up. Most people were in good spirits and helping other people as much as they could.

It looks like we were lucky!

Babies and Puppies!

Jennie the puppy and her owner Georgia stopped over today to visit! Mom came too!
They were SO cute, we had to take a picture. They are just adorable :)

Little Miss Sunshine

I had a great session last night with this little cutie! We took a walk downtown and took pictures along the way! My favorite part was everytime we went to a new location, she would grab mom's hand and then grab mine. That made me smile everytime :)

Chris + Erika

Hey everyone,
I hope that you had a great weekend! I was very busy running around going to concerts and then the steam show. (Steam show, What's that?) Don't worry, I'll have pictures and video later this week.
In the meantime, I have more images from the double wedding weekend. These are images from Chris and Erika's wedding. We had a great time at this wedding! They had a fabulous band at their reception. And everyone was dancing the night away!

New Friends

Sometimes, there are people that instantly bring joy to my life. I like to think that God puts these people into my life to show me how amazing life can be. I have many people like this in my life. So many times, it seems, they are clients. I like to think that is why He has put my passion in photography. It gives me a chance to meet so many amazing people... that I can relate to in different areas of my life.

When I started photographing children on a full time basis, I felt like my life was more complete. They bring so much joy to my heart. And I love to watch the interaction between them and their parents and siblings. I think I have the best job in the world. Photographing love all day long.

I had a session a while back that I wanted to share with you. This family is Super Fantastic as Andrew would say! Two little girls, with two wonderful parents. As soon as Beth and Mark walked thru the door, I knew that we were going to have a great time together. And although I made them work really hard during their session, (they ran around a lot) we had so much fun! They have the cutest little girls. Just take a look...

Wedding X2

We had two weddings this weekend and man am I tired. The weddings were both fabulous! Leslie and Levi got married in Grand Haven and Erika and Chris got married in Carson City. I will have images up in a couple days!

Curly Q!

I love this little girl! Her hair has as much personality as she does! We had a great session this evening..we did some portrait style and some candid. Miss Curly Q here did a wonderful job at dealing with all the things we wanted her to do. I think the bubbles were her favorite!

This is Liv...Livy or Olivia. She has many names and many personalities! She is my niece and she is at such a great age. She is talking up a storm, not always clearly, but always cute. My favorite thing she says right now is "sure"
You ask her to do something and she says sure... in a sort of Jersey accent. I'm not sure where she got that accent but it's so cute. She cracks me up!

Field of Gold

My niece Emma and I went out to a field in Mason by their house and went crazy taking pictures. We were there way past her bedtime, but the light was so great. I don't think she minded at all that she was missing her bedtime :)
She even got a ride on the 4-wheeler with Uncle when she was done!
